Before you start thinking about buying a home without a realtor, there are some things you should know about the real estate business. First off, you may not even know the difference between a realtor and a real estate agent. There is a big difference between them, though. Real estate agents are licensed to buy and sell real estate, in the state that they are in. To receive a license, agents must complete lengthy real estate training every year, as well as passing both state and national tests. Local and national lending, tax and real estate laws are constantly changing, this is why agents must be tested.
